At Sending Sunshine, we believe that small actions can create a ripple effect of kindness and joy. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to bring hope and comfort to children in need through creative fundraising and compassionate outreach. We collect bottles for recycling and repurposing to fund the creation of pediatric care packages designed to brighten the days of children facing medical challenges and difficult circumstances.

Sending Sunshine was founded with the vision of harnessing community efforts to create tangible, positive impacts. What started as a grassroots initiative among friends and family has grown into a dedicated nonprofit organization, fueled by the belief that together, we can make a real difference in a child’s life. Every bottle collected is more than just recycling, it’s a step toward brighter days and essential support for children in need.

The process is simple and effective:

1. Fundraising: We partner with individuals in our local community to collect bottles and other recyclables. Otherwise, we accept donations as a New York State Registered Nonprofit. 
2. Recycling for Good: The proceeds from the bottle collections are used to fund the creation of pediatric care packages.
3. Creating Care Packages: Our team carefully assembles each package with thoughtfully selected items to bring joy and support to children in hospitals in need.
4. Distributing Sunshine: We distribute the care packages to pediatric patients and their families, bringing smiles, hope, and a touch of light into their lives.
